Antioch University is closed and this place is kind of sad because of it, it seems. Its a cute hippie university village w/o any students- feels empty and lost; a shell of what it once was.

- Originally from the American Midwest, I lived in Honolulu for four years and am now back in the Midwest. For how long, who knows? I have been all over the world and it feels like its been all over me. No regrets.
I can understand how for many and for visitors it does seem that way, but it isn't so for many others including myself. The village is filled with activities and has a very vibrant arts community (third friday flings, street fair, art stroll and farmers markets are going strong).
ReplyDeleteAs for Antioch, arg what a saga, but it isn't dead yet, the alumni are working hard to reopen (keep your fingers crossed). We have had students for the antioch alumini nonstop program that offered lectures and classes, lots of new families have moved into town too.
